Every year during the first week of October, we take 75 of our most broken and vulnerable children away to the mountains for a week long camp. For these children, camp is a place where they can escape the tragedies of everyday life. Each year we watch in wonder as God uses this time away to heal broken hearts.
Because we believe camp is vital to the spiritual and emotional growth of our children, this year we are inviting an additional 50 kids to enjoy camp with us, bumping our total number of campers up to 125.
It will cost us $100 per child for camp to be fully sponsored, which is why we need your help.
To raise support for this year’s camp, we urge you to take part in this year’s Fifth Third Riverbank Run in Grand Rapids, MI.
The Fifth Third River Bank Run is celebrating 40 years of road running on Saturday, May 13, 2017. This event features the largest 25K road race in the country and offers the only 25K Wheelchair racing division in the world along with a 25K Handcycle division.
Participants can choose from the 25K Relay, 10K Run, 5K Run, Team Competition for 25K, 10K, 5K Run, or 5K Community Walk.
Whether you are an experienced runner or are looking for a fun way to help support this cause, this is a great opportunity to accomplish your goals! Your run, or sponsorship of someone who is running, can pave the way for children to experience the abundant love of Christ.
